I'm a bit out of order here, but who cares. On our first day in Monteverde, we caught a cab ride up to the
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. There, we hiked all over the place. The trail we were on should have taken us about 2 hours to
do, but us fat lazy americans managed to get it done in about 3 and a half.
In the jungle, we saw amazing trees, some that you could even crawl through. We didn't see much wildlife,
but it was the middle of the day, and the animals are mostly active at night. On a normal day though, there are winds whipping through
the mountains, and mist and rain covering the whole park. We were actually pretty lucky to get a warm, dry, clear day to hike.
